"In future we hope to showcase this project to the community and use it to promote the use of green energy."
Using funding from SV, the leaders at this Hindu temple installed a solar system and battery storage to power the temple, community hall, canteen and other facilities. By reducing their electricity costs, the congregation can now spend these savings on vital services for the community.

The power of community
In the journey to a climate resilient circular economy, you can never underestimate the power of community.
More and more communities are taking action to address climate change and build a sustainable future; they know how to make a difference and are doing what it takes to get there.
And Sustainability Victoria is supporting those communities leading the charge; helping them upskill and kickstart their projects through funding, grants, support and training.
