CDS Vic
Victoria’s Container Deposit Scheme is a recycling initiative offering a 10 cent refund for each eligible drink container returned at hundreds of refund points across Victoria.
Over the past year, more than 400 schools have raised thousands of dollars through CDS Vic. Together we’ve recycled over 1 billion containers and reduced litter across Victoria. Containers collected through CDS Vic will be turned into new recycled products – like drink bottles, cans and more!
Participation supports sustainability education, develops student leadership and problem-solving skills while creating a greener future and raising funds for their school – it’s a win-win!
Funds raised with CDS Vic have helped:
- schools grow community gardens
- local football clubs provide uniforms and kits to their players
- food banks provide warm meals for disadvantaged Victorians and so much more!
