Details of recipients of Investment Support Grant – Packaging (ISGP) grants. The grants provided financial assistance for activities in Victoria that reduce packaging and other waste to landfill.

Christie Centre Inc.
Christie Centre Inc. will purchase an additional industrial paper and cardboard shredder for its social enterprise Aroundagain Document Destruction, to further boost its environmental and social impact.

Innovative Plastic Solutions
Innovative Plastic Solutions will expand operations with the purchase of a second injection moulding tool to produce their handbasket product in Victoria using recycled HDPE plastic from milk bottles.

The Dirt Company
Funding: $10,071
Description: The Dirt Company will transition from packaging procured offshore to partly manufacturing some its plastic packaging in house, using waste created through its process and additional appropriate consumer waste.
Preston Neighbourhood House
Preston Neighbourhood House proposes to repurpose cardboard boxes donated by Darebin businesses and individuals into new packaging products to be reused within the community.

EQ Plastics
EQ plastics will upgrade one of its existing food grade plastic sheet extrusion lines, enabling increase of recycled polypropylene derived from packaging to be used within the production process.

Happy Planet Toys
Happy Planet Toys will deliver on its next commercially viable toy, a unique Pelican-inspired bucket and spade set made from 100% recycled HDPE from milk bottles.

Moon Dog Brewery
Moon Dog Brewing proposes to install a pneumatic baling system to bale cardboard waste produced through the packaging process and to divert polypropylene woven grain bags from ending up in landfill.

Southern Ocean Environment Link
Southern Ocean Environmental Link will expand its program in LDPE and HDPE collection, repurposing / manufacturing and education throughout Geelong, the Bellarine and the Surf coast regions.

Central Ringwood Community Centre
Central Ringwood Community Centre will create a new avenue for used bottle lids, repurposing it as 100% recycled plastic bricks.

Reground
Reground will expand existing operations in which they collect problematic commercial plastic coffee bag ensuring recyclability and quadrupling their capacity, improving data tracking and reducing contamination in recycling streams within the café industry.

Bintani Australia
Bintani's Grain Loop project aims to reduce the amount of woven polypropylene bags that go to landfill by introducing returnable bulk grain discharge bins under a return/refill/reuse model.

Quantum Recycling Solutions
Quantum will implement a plant upgrade that expands existing operations to recycle and reprocess e-waste plastics and associated packaging.

Big Group Hug will replace PVC packaging with recycled cardboard.

Graina will transform its grocery home delivery service by using containers that will be collected and refilled.

Happy Planet Toys will design and manufacture a toy made from recycled milk bottles.

National Paper Industries will purchase a new paper reel cutting machine to reduce paper wastage and waste ending up in landfill.

Pakaflex will use new equipment to recycle plastic film that can be reused in their existing flexible timber packaging.

Plastica Australia
Plastica Australia will expand their operations and start manufacturing recycled garbage and medical waste bags.

Presto Furniture
Presto Furniture will use a new cardboard shredder to produce packaging fill.

Recyclable Packaging (Casslis)
Recyclable Packaging will use new tools to manufacture cheese and chicken trays from recycled PET.

Sa’pere Drinks
Sa’pere Drinks will create a reusable glass bottle system for pubs and clubs.

SCS Plastics
SCS Plastics will use three new granulators to recycle fruit and vegetable plastic trays they currently produce. This will divert tonnes of PET plastics (polyethylene terephthalate) from landfill.

Select*d will replace its current PVC food bowls with recyclable PET bowls.

Stones of the Yarra Valley
Stone of the YRR Valley will replace single-use plastic containers with stainless steel containers in their commercial kitchen.

Victorian Recyclers
Victorian Recyclers will create a closed-loop solution to green plastic strapping: the strapping will be remanufactured back into new plastic strapping.
