Arden 7-star display homes, Sunbury

These display homes constructed by Arden Homes make building to the 7-star standard easy. These homes combine quality construction with energy efficiency to create homes that will be low-cost and comfortable for their future owners. Arden Homes chose to partner with Sustainability Victoria on the 7 Star Homes Program to demonstrate their leadership in the volume home builder industry ahead of the upcoming 7-star energy efficiency standards.

Arden Homes were Victoria’s first volume builder to include all-electric, 100% carbon neutral homes, meaning that the home produces carbon offsets that are equal to, or more than the amount of carbon produced by the home.

These case studies unpack some of the key design choices involved in building these energy efficient display homes and highlight the bill savings associated with building to the 7-star standard with all electric appliances. These display homes by Arden Homes demonstrate that a 7-star energy rating can be easily achieved by focusing on orientation, glazing and insulation.

Both of these homes are currently open for inspection.
